Al-Houthi calls on Britain to allow Scotland to vote on independence

SANAA, March 14 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, on Sunday called on the British Prime Minister to allow Scotland to hold a vote on its independence.

Al-Houthi said, in a tweet on Twitter, that the refusal does not mean meeting the conviction of the Scottish claimants, but rather delaying the enforcement.

He added that if the British claim their adherence to democracy, the referendum is the minimum right for a citizen to determine his destiny and confiscating this right is “a negative image across generations.”
