UAE establishes new camp in Socotra

SOCTORA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia announced on Tuesday the establishment of a new military camp on Socotra island.

According to the Emirati-funded “STC” website, the head of STC branch on the island, Raafat al-Thaqali, Inaugurated the camp on the island.

This move came in conjunction with the establishment of new camps by the Emirati and Saudi forces in light of military tension between them and the STC militia, near the land and airport of the island.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia pushed new military reinforcements to Socotra province in an attempt to expand its military influence.
