The minister stressed the importance of the humanitarian efforts being made by the UNDP office in Yemen, noting the government’s commitment to provide all necessary facilitations to overcome any obstacles hindering the UNDP’s work.

Al-Ezzi said the UNDP should focus on the humanitarian side that contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens, which has continued for more than five years as a result of aggression, the all-out siege and the systematic destruction of the country’s resources.

Meanwhile, Lootsma praised cooperation and coordination between the national authorities and the UN programs and offices operating in Yemen.

He emphasized full commitment and keenness to make all humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni citizens.
