SANAA, Oct. 8 (YPA) – A fire broke out at al-Azhar Mosque in the direction of Bab al-Saaida towards the Al-Batiniya area, Egyptian media reported on Wednesday evening.
According to the website of the Egyptian “Al-Dostor” newspaper, the fire occurred in a room on the third floor of al-Azhar Mosque, near residential areas.
Civil protection forces arrived at the site of the fire and were able to control it with the help of residents.
The cause of the accident was an electrical Short circuit, the newspaper said, adding that an investigation will be opened by forensic officers to determine the cause of the fire.
