SANAA, Sep. 5 (YPA) – A protest rally was staged on Saturday by dozens of people in Taiz city to denounce the collapse of the national currency.
At the rally, the participants, in Jamal Street, raised banners expressing the deterioration of the economic situation of citizens and calling for saving the currency.
The protesters held the coalition full responsibility for the collapse of the currency as a result of disrupting and looting the country’s oil and gas resources and ports.
The Yemeni riyal continued to decline against the foreign currency, which a dollar is reaching YR 800 in the Saudi-Emirati occupation-held governorates.
