Electricity cut off in Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 18 (YPA) – For the fourth consecutive day, electricity was cut off in Abyan province due to the suspension of the old Lawder power station, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, the electricity was cut off in Lawder, Wadhiaa and Maudia districts, due to the depletion of diesel material intended to run the generators of the Lawder power station.

The sources pointed out that restoring electricity to these areas is linked to providing sufficient fuel for the station.

Southern provinces witnesses significant deterioration in basic and essential services, on top of which is electricity, which doubled the suffering of citizens, amid deliberate neglect by the exiled Hadi’s government and the local authorities.
