Islah militias create southern brigades in al-Hujariyah

SANAA, July 9 (YPA) – Militias of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) in Taiz province on Thursday began to establish military brigades from sons of the southern provinces.

“The prominent leader in the Islah party, Sheikh Hamoud al-Mikhlafi, has recently started to create two new military brigades with Qatari support in al-Afa camp in al-Asabeh area and Jabal Rasen area in al-Shamayatein district in Taiz,” Yemeni News Portal website quoted military sources as saying.

The goal of establishing these new forces in al-Hujariyah region is to send them to fight the UAE-backed militias in the western coast and Aden province, the sources explained.

The sources confirmed that the new recruitment process would focus on recruiting young people from al-Sabiha tribes and the southern Yafea area, as well as recruits of the so-called “Tariq Afash” forces from Taiz province.
