SANAA, June 10 (YPA) – The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on Wednesday that it recorded 9.9 thousand new infections with the newly created Corona virus during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 276583 cases.
According to the Ministry’s data, 133632 people are undergoing treatment, 135,205 people recovered 5991 within a day, and 7,745 people died (279 people within a day).
The ministry’s statement stated that the largest number of injuries was in the state of Maharashtra in the center of the country, where more than a third of all injuries were recorded 90,787 (2259 during the last 24 hours), and the state of Tamil Nadu comes second in terms of the number of injuries, where the number of injuries reached 34,914 Case (1685 during the past 24 hours), and the Delhi metropolitan area ranked third in terms of total number of injuries to 31,309 cases (an increase of 1,366 cases during the last 24 hours).
According to Johns Hopkins University, India ranked fifth in the world in terms of casualties, surpassing Italy and Spain.
The Ministry of the Interior announced the extension of the closure measures until 30 June, in the areas designated to contain the epidemic, but at the same time it identified three phases to reopen the closed sectors outside the containment areas.
According to the decision, places of worship and restaurants, hotels and commercial centers will be allowed to open their doors starting from the eighth of next month, while the hours of the ban will be eased from nine in the evening until five in the morning.
The work of schools and educational institutions will be permitted in agreement with the local authorities.
The decision to reopen gyms, halls, recreational facilities, theaters and cinemas will be left within a third stage, according to the evaluation of the situation.
