Large swarms of locusts invade farms in Sanaa

SANAA, June 8 (YPA) – Large swarms of desert locusts on have been seen on farms and in other rural areas in the capital Sanaa, an official said on Monday.

The official affirmed that the locust swarms invaded the capital a few hours after they reached Sanhan district of Sanaa province, south of the capital.

Desert locusts attacked farms in Hadramout province on Saturday, threatening to food security and livelihoods by feeding on plants and crops on farms.
