5 militants of Islah party killed, others wounded in ambushes of STC militias in Abyan

ABYAN, June 1 (YPA) – Five militants of Islah party’s militias were killed on Monday and others wounded in two ambushes carried out by tribesmen loyal to southern transitional council (STC)’s militiamen in Abyan province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

Several tribesmen attacked the military reinforcements of Islah militias, burning a tank, a truck and two military pick-up vehicles in Dhaiqa and Wadi Ezzan areas, the sources confirmed.

The reinforcements were coming from Marib province to Islah camps in Shaqra and Qarn al-Kalasi areas.
