SANAA, April 22 (YPA) – A meeting was held Wednesday at the Shura Council and chaired by Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Bukhiti to discuss activities of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation.
The meeting, which included members and head of the International Cooperation Department in the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, dealt with the mechanism of joint working with the humanitarian programs of UN and international organizations operating in Yemen to alleviate the people’s suffering in light of the aggression and the blockade.
At the meeting, al-Bukhiti reviewed the results of the meeting of the Presidency of the Shura Council with the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator Lise Grande, which addressed the activities of the Humanitarian Coordinator and the difficulties facing them.
He stressed the importance of joint coordination to overcome any problems for enhancing partnership in the field of humanitarian work and alleviating the suffering of Yemenis.
