Al-Sabeiha tribes close Aden-Taiz road after clashes with STC’s militias

LAHJ, Feb. 29 (YPA) – Al-Sabeiha tribes of Lahj province on Saturday closed the main road linking between Aden, Lahj and Taiz provinces after clashes erupted between the tribes and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias in Lahj.

The clashes that broke out in al-Houta district in Lahj were between group of Sheikh Tawfiq al-Subaihi and militiamen of Saleh al-Sayyed, a leader in the STC, according to local sources.

The sources added that the clashes came against the background of arresting, beating, insulting and imprisoning one of Sheikh Tawfiq’s companions by al-Sayyed’s militiamen.
