SANAA, Nov. 2 (YPA) – The US Department of State has confirmed in a special report on the war on terrorism that there are a number of countries linked to terrorism, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Sudan.
The report described the UAE as a regional and international station for terrorist organizations’ moves and a center for receiving and sending financial support for them.
The US State Department report accused Saudi Arabia of continuing to arrest activists and academics under the pretext of terrorism laws, and the Kingdom defended those arrests on the pretext that they had committed crimes against national security and classified as terrorist.
Saudi Arabia continued to provide some support for intolerant views in a number of countries, the report added. “Some Saudi textbooks still contain language that incites discrimination, intolerance and violence.”
