Over 50 Palestinians killed in Israeli shelling on aid seekers in southern Gaza

GAZA, June 17 (YPA) – More than 50 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others injured early Tuesday morning in an Israeli shelling that targeted civilians while waiting for humanitarian aid east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

This incident comes as the Israeli military campaign against the Gaza Strip enters its 92nd consecutive day, leaving behind a growing toll of casualties and destruction.

Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned of dire conditions and rising civilian deaths.

According to local sources, dozens were killed and injured in a strike on aid seekers in the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood, located in eastern Khan Younis.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian citizen was killed and others wounded when Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for aid near southern Netzarim in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, Al-Awda Hospital reported receiving at least 15 wounded civilians on Monday evening following drone strikes by Israeli occupation forces targeting gatherings on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza.

Over the past several days, Israeli occupation  forces have repeatedly targeted aid distribution points across the Strip — including Rafah and central Gaza — resulting in dozens of civilian casualties.
