Gaza Health Ministry: Zionist forces kill 45 Palestinians awaiting for food aid in Khan Younis

GAZA, June 17 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that more than 45 civilians have been killed and hundreds injured in a new massacre carried out by Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday morning.

The strike targeted civilians while waiting for humanitarian aid at the Al-Tahlia roundabout in Khan Younis governorate.

In an official statement, the Ministry confirmed that Nasser Medical Complex received the bodies of over 45 victims along with hundreds of wounded.

The ministry noted that this was a preliminary toll, and that the number of casualties is expected to rise.

Emergency, intensive care, and operating units at the hospital are reportedly overwhelmed due to the large influx of casualties.

The Ministry also warned that medical teams are operating under severe shortages of essential medications and life-saving supplies.

The Ministry renewed its urgent appeal to international organizations and relevant authorities to immediately bolster emergency medical supplies in Gaza.

This comes as the death toll from attacks on food aid distribution points continues to climb.

As of Monday, the Ministry reported that since May 27, at least 338 Palestinians have been killed and 2,831 injured while attempting to access humanitarian aid across Gaza—casualties referred to as victims of the “bread massacre.”
