Saudi-backed forces launch campaign of arrests against STC in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Oct. 8 (YPA) – Saudi-backed forces ” Islah party factions and Hadi’s forces” have carried out a campaign of widespread arrests against citizens who are affiliated with the UAE’s southern transitional Council in Shabwah province, informed sources reported on Tuesday.

According to the sources, the armed groups affiliated with al-Islah party raided the homes in Shabwah and arrested a number of citizens who are affiliated with the STC militias on charges of covering up the recruits of the Shabwah elite.

Al-Islah factions had arrested dozens of citizens and recruits affiliated with the shabwanian elite militias backed by the UAE occupation forces in the province earlier and jailed them.

STC’s militias in Aden have also carried out a large-scale arrest campaign in recent days for all those affiliated with al-Islah and Hadi’s forces in Aden and Abyan.
