SANAA, April 22 (YPA) – At least nine people were killed and 56 others injured in a suicide bombing targeted voter registration center in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, The Ministry of Interior said.
Afghan interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish confirmed that most of the wounded are in a stable condition.
He said the attacker blew himself up at the entrance of a center crowded with citizens in a predominantly Shiite region in the west of the capital.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack, against the backdrop of a series of attacks that hit polling stations in various parts of the country last week.
The Taliban denied being behind the attack on Thursday, according to the Afghan channel “Tolu News”.
