Washington says aware of DPRK’s recent action
SANAA, May 4 (YPA) – The White House said on Friday night that it is aware of the recent action by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and will monitor the situation.
“We are aware of North Korea’s actions and will continue to monitor the situation as necessary,” White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in a statement.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said earlier in the day that the DPRK had launched short-range, unnamed missiles off its eastern coast.
US media reported that US national security adviser John Bolton had briefed President Donald Trump on the situation.
So far, the DPRK has not commented on the issue.
