TEHRAN, Aug. 18 (YPA) – A senior Iranian official stated that Tehran has decided to fully shift its policy from defensive to offensive, noting that it has set a deadline of a few weeks for Washington to fully implement the signed memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The Iranian official explained that the United States and regional countries will be informed, via mediators, of the timeframe set by Tehran, pointing out that pressuring Washington or relying on mediators to reach a permanent agreement is unrealistic.
In statements reported by “Reuters”, the official added that Tehran will not wait indefinitely while the United States continues its naval blockade.
The official emphasized that all Iranian institutions will be on high alert for escalation in the Strait of Hormuz and the broader region should diplomacy fail.
