HODEIDAH, March 30 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition’s warplanes and spy aircrafts on Friday continued to fly intensively in the airspace of the city of Hodeidah, in conjunction with the continued violations of the ceasefire by its militias in the province.
A security source in the province explained that “the warplanes and espionage planes of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE intensified their sorties Friday evening in the atmosphere of Hodeidah.”
The source reported that the coalition forces and their militias continue to violate the cease-fire agreement in Hodeidah through bombing farms and houses in the districts of Hodeidah and its neighborhoods.
The coalition and its militia fired 48 Katyusha rockets and artillery 35 shells on houses and property of citizens in the villages of Zafran and Mahel Sheikh in Kilo 16 area, according to the source.
He added that the coalition forces carried out intensive bombardment by heavy machine guns on various areas near Al-Ettihad Hotel in the residential area of July 7, which coincided with bombing neighborhoods in Sanaa and 50th Streets with 11 artillery shells and firing from light and medium weapons.
In the countryside of Hodeidah, the security source said that “27 artillery shells were fired by the coalition militia on Friday on the farms and property of citizens in the areas of al-Faza and al-Jabaliya in al-Tohita district.”
For its part, the Yemeni Petroleum Company renewed its warning of catastrophic consequences of any bombardment may target oil facilities, as they are linked to vital services for citizens and residential neighborhoods.
