SANAA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – Head of the national delegation Mohammed Abdul Salam revealed the party hindering the redeployment of troops in Hodeidah, as stipulated in the consultations of Sweden for the truce in the province.
“The situation today is in the court of the other party,” he said, referring to the coalition and the government of exiled Hadi, and that “our people and various international parties know who is the obstacle to peace.”
“We informed the head of the coordination committee of our readiness, but the other party returned to raise issues outside the agreement,” he said. “The implementation of the first phase of the agreement was supposed to begin on Monday morning and our forces are ready to redeploy.”
He pointed out that the Chairman of the Coordination Committee asked them to wait until he continues his attempts with the other party, stressing that they are waiting for a response,
“We hope that our team will receive the starting signal this evening so that we can begin implementing the first phase steps starting on Tuesday morning,” he said.
