Agreement on implementation of 1st phase of Swedish agreement on Hodeidah in 2 steps
SANAA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – A source familiar with the meetings of the Coordinating Committee in Hodeidah said on Monday that the first phase of the Swedish agreement was recently agreed to implement it in two steps.
The source explained that the first phase includes the redeployment from the ports of Salif and Ras Issa for 5 km, and also includes the redeployment of the forces of coalition from the triangle of Kilo 7 area to the east of the Red Sea Mills for one kilo.
The source added that the Joint Committee implements the first phase of the agreement, allowing the transfer of grain from the mills and the passage of aid within 11 days.
He stressed that the representatives of the national delegation agreed to implement the first phase in a comprehensive manner, pointing out that the representatives of the party of coalition link implementation by agreement on the local authority after the redeployment.
The source added, “The Chairman of the Committee of Observers confirmed that the local authority according to the agreement Sweden is currently existing,” noting that the second phase of the redeployment agreement in Hodeidah was agreed in principle by both parties.
The source pointed out that the party of the coalition’s countries requested a time to consult with their leadership in Saudi Arabia and the UAE on the second phase.
The source concluded that there were differences between the UAE and Saudi Arabia regarding the UN proposal for the second phase, while the national delegation agreed.
