Sayyid Abdulmalik meets UN envoy to discuss Stockholm agreement

SANAA , Feb. 17 (YPA) -The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi has met with UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths on Sunday, according to the Head of the National Negotiating Delegation  Mohammed Abdel Salam.

During the meeting, they discussed the course of the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement, and on what has been reached by the Joint Coordinating Committees.

The National delegation’s representatives of the Coordination and Redeployment Committee are ready to implement the agreement, the Sayyid has said. He also affirmed Yemen’s readiness for peace and the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement.

Sayyid Abdulmalik Badreddin al-Houthi also criticized the Riyadh-backed delegation’s continued rejection of what had been agreed and, most recently, their intransigence towards the plan put forward by the Chairman of the UN Coordination and Redeployment Committee, as well as their lack of readiness in advancing the prisoner’s file.

“This proves that they are not serious about peace and are not keen for it, as well as showing their total obstruction in the rest of the issues that were agreed upon during the Stockholm consultations, such as looking for quick economic treatments and discussing mechanisms and ways to reopen Sana’a International Airport, the truce in Taiz and other related issues”, the Sayyid said.
