SANAA, Feb. 5 (YPA) – Head of Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, has commented on the controversial recent visit of the Vatican Pope Francis to the United Arab Emirates.
While the UAE invited the Sheikh of Al-Azhar to receive the pope, and UAE ignored the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and Imam of Masjid al-Haram as an important religious symbol such as the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Al-Houthi”wondered about the reason for ignoring the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia.
He noted that the failure to invite Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive the pope as a “coup” aimed at Bin Zayed to confirm that Egypt is the regional Islamic State and that Saudi’s thinking is the source of extremism and terrorism.
“Or is it the result of the Coordinating Council for the coup d’état on the Wahhabi ideology described as terrorism and in order to avoid their stigmatization of terrorism in the future,” he added.
