Parliamentary sessions are not allowed in Aden: Southern Transitional Council

ADEN, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Head of the National Assembly in the so-called “Southern Transitional Council” Ahmed bin Burik, backed by the UAE, on Monday said the southern provinces people would take to the streets in the event of insisting on the convening of the parliament sessions in Aden.

“We will not allow the parliament to hold a session, even on our bodies,” Bin Burik stressed.

He noted that the southern provinces’ people have been very patient with the so-called “legitimacy of Hadi”, while some of its parties still insist on exporting terrorism to the south and provoke them deliberately by holding a parliament meeting in Aden.

“One million of southerners will take to the streets and close the airport and will not allow the entry of any parliamentarian to Aden”, he added.

It is worth mentioning that the government of the exiled Hadi had announced its intention to hold the first session of the parliament in Aden for the dissident members next month.
