For the first time Jordan’s King to visit Iraq

SANAA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – Jordan’s King Abdullah bin al-Hussein will visit Iraq on Tuesday; the Jordanian newspaper al-Rai quoted an official source as saying.

The source did not disclose further details. The Jordanian and Iraqi governments have not issued anything on the issue at the time of writing.

The visit is the first to be held by the king of Jordan since he took office in 1999.

It comes about two weeks after the visit of Jordanian Prime Minister Omar al-Razaz to Baghdad, during which a series of agreements were held, most notably the establishment of a 24-square-kilometer joint industrial zone.
