At least 222 Palestinians starved to death due to inclusive siege on Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 11 (YPA) – At least 222 Palestinians have starved to death, including 101 children, since the start of the genocidal war Israeli occupation launched against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the Gaza-based Health Ministry stated in a press statement.

The ministry announced on Monday the deaths of five citizens, including a child, due to malnutrition resulting from systematic Israeli starvation, lack of treatment, and the blockade accompanying the genocidal Israeli campaign of violence for 22 months.

The statement noted that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip has been continued to worsen, due to the blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies.

The severe famine has been intertwined since with the genocidal war waged by the occupation.

Since February 2025, the occupation authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of most food and medical aid, causing a famine outbreak within the Strip.
