Coalition’s attack on Sanaa Airport impedes UN efforts: Army Spokesman

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemeni army on Wednesday said that targeting of Sanaa International Airport under baseless pretexts reflects Saudi-led coalition’s real intentions to obstruct the United Nations efforts to reopen the airport, as a humanitarian and moral demand.

“The coalition’s aggression on Sanaa airport today is a crime added to the series of its heinous crimes against the Yemeni people for nearly four years,” said Brigadier General Yahya Sarea in a statement to Yemen News Agency (Saba).

The spokesman called on the United Nations to take its responsibility to stop the aggression and end the suffering of Yemenis.

The statement held the Saudi and Emirati regimes and US administration, which stands behind them, responsible for all crimes against the Yemeni people.
