SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – Tunisian Foreign Minister Khamis al-Jahnawi said that an Arab decision on Syria could be made after Arab leaders meet at the summit because “they decide, not Tunisia, who decides.”
Al-Jahnawi denied in a statement to “Mosaic FM” on Tuesday, what was reported about the invitation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to attend the Arab summit hosted by Tunisia in March 2019.
He pointed out that Tunisia, which will host in March 2019 the 30th session of the Arab summit, has only sent invitations to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
On Monday, the media reported that an Arab head of state was preparing to invite Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to visit his country.
It is noteworthy that the Arab League froze membership in Syria since 2011.
