Report: Army wages offensives on coalition’s troop sites, gatherings on Sunday

SANAA, Mar. 5 (YPA) – The Yemen army has waged offensive operations on Saudi-led coalition troops’ sites, inflicting them heavy losses over the last 24 hours, according to military reports obtained by Yemen Press Agency on Monday.

  • Saudi media admitted the killing of three soldiers in clashes with the Yemeni army in border fronts line.
  • In the border province of Jizan:

Two Saudi soldiers were sniped in the north of Main valley and beyond Kamer village.

Artillery shells were fired toward gatherings and sites of Saudi army in Mahadan site and Mostahdath-Qazea.

  • In Najran border district:

Saudi-backed militias’ gatherings were targeted by artillery in front of Aleeb crossing, Boqea desert and Ajasher desert.

A Saudi soldier was shot dead in Hajlah site.

  • In Saudi border province of Asir:

Saudi-backed militias’ gatherings were shelled by artillery in front of Alab crossing and nearby hills.

  • In Taiz province:

Artillery force of Yemen army shelled militias’ gatherings and military vehicles in several areas of Moaze district, killing and wounding dozens of the militias.

  • In Yemen province of Jawf:

Militias’ gatherings were shelled by artillery in Hazm camp and fronts of Sabrain and Mahamisha of Khub-washaaf district. 

  • In Hajjah province:

A tank belonging to Saudi-backed militias was destroyed by a guided rocket in north of Medi desert, killing all its crew.

Yemen army repelled an extensive advance of Saudi-backed militias, including Sudanese soldiers, toward Haradh crossing, killing and injuring many of the militias.

The advance began at Sunday morning and continued for hours under air cover of over 50 air raids without any progress.
