UN re-operates state-run Amran cement plant

AMRAN, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Amran governor Faisal Jaman on Monday praised on effort exerted by United Nations in state-run cement plant in Amran province.

The governor reviewed  the difficulties facing the factory because of a high operating cost and a suspension of most production lines, which requires concerting efforts to operate the plant.

This came during governor’s visit with the director of OCHA in Yemen.

The plant was the heart of the governorate’s economy  and targeted by Saudi-led coalition air strikes in 2015, Jaman added.
