DHAMAR, Sep. 23 (YPA) – The director of National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs branch in Dhamar province praised the humanitarian role in helping the displaced and providing their needs by the UNHCR during the last period.
Mounir Al Marouni, during his meeting on Sunday with the representative of the High Commission for Refugees, Arwa Sabri, stressed on the importance of completing the disbursement of financial assistance and shelter provided by the Commission for displaced people in all districts of the province.
Al Marouni stressed on the need to expand the projects and activities of the Commission to include displaced in all districts, in line with the continuous displacement from the provinces of Hodeidah and Bayda.
Al-Sabri reiterated the UNHCR’s readiness to assist displaced persons in Dhamar and to meet their basic needs and provide food, shelter, winter clothing and medicines for chronic diseases in the coming period.
Al-Sabri pointed out that the Commission has resumed during the past two days the process of disbursement of financial assistance allocated to rent housing for some of the late cases of displaced persons in 2017 after the completion of their data.
