Sayyed al-Houthi rejects Taiz siege claims, accuses Saudi Arabia of misinformation

SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Yemen’s Ansarullah movement leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said on Thursday that Taiz is not under siege, describing claims to the contrary as false and fabricated.

He added that food, medicine and humanitarian supplies can enter the city, while only weapons intended for groups aligned with Saudi Arabia are being prevented from entering.

In a televised speech marking the annual Martyrs’ Day, Sayyed al-Houthi praised Taiz residents for their support for the armed forces and invited anyone seeking to verify the situation to visit the city.

He accused Saudi Arabia and its local allies of spreading misinformation about conditions in Taiz.

The movement’s leader also addressed residents of the southern provinces, saying they were not targets of the armed forces’ operations, which were directed only at military build-ups led by Saudi forces and officers.
