Sanaa warns Riyadh of escalation consequences, threatens ‘stronger and fiercer response’
SANAA Sept. 19 (YPA) – The Sanaa government has warned the Saudi regime against the continued escalation against the Republic of Yemen, emphasizing that any escalation will be met by the armed forces with a stronger and fiercer response under the “escalation for escalation and blockade for blockade” equation, based on the legitimate right to self-defense.
Government Spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti stated to the Sanaa-based Yemen News Agency (SABA) that Riyadh’s accusation of Yemen targeting Mecca is a “fabrication and a fixed policy” that has clashed with the awareness of the peoples.
Al-Bukhaiti accused the Saudi Royal Air Force of launching 732 airstrikes from the Khamis Mushait and Taif airbases, alongside attempting to carry out bombings targeting civilians in the capital, Sanaa, using methods he described as “ISIS-like.”
The government spokesman stressed that the continuation of Saudi crimes doubles the “bill of accountability” and that Yemen will not hesitate to deal harsh blows to deter Riyadh. He noted that Yemeni strikes are characterized by precision and moral discipline, while any civilian casualties are caused by the ricochet of Saudi air defense missiles.
He concluded by reaffirming that Yemen’s stance remains firm and that any escalation will be met with action to protect the people and national sovereignty.
