Sanaa reaffirms doors open to Yemenis seeking to return home

SANAA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Sanaa on Sunday reaffirmed that its doors remain open to all Yemenis, including those currently fighting alongside Saudi Arabia and hostile foreign parties, stressing that the path back home remains open and that those who leave foreign-backed camps and return to Yemen can become partners in rebuilding the country rather than fuel for a conflict serving others’ interests.

Head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation Mohammed Abdul Salam said Sanaa welcomes all Yemenis and that its doors are open for everyone to return as citizens and partners, with the same rights and obligations.

In a post on X, Abdul Salam said the amnesty issued by President Mahdi Al-Mashat demonstrates the leadership’s commitment to protecting lives and ending internal fighting.

He urged those still aligned with Yemen’s enemies and fueling the internal conflict to return to their senses and to their homeland.

“The project of Yemen’s enemies has proven to be based on fighting, internal conflict and the draining of Yemenis in service of their interests,” he said, stressing that continued recruitment and mobilization with hostile foreign parties would only bring further destruction and internal fighting.

He said recruitment on behalf of foreign parties contributes to maintaining the unjust blockade and depriving the Yemeni people of their resources, wealth, independence and sovereignty, praising those who had left Saudi-backed camps and returned to their families.

Abdul Salam also praised growing awareness of foreign conspiracies aimed at weakening and fragmenting Yemen by fueling wars and the use of weapons and means of killing and destruction.
