Yemeni scholars call for removal of foreign bases, reaffirm support for ‘escalation-for-escalation’ strategy

SANAA, Aug. 05 (YPA) – The annual conference of Yemeni scholars, held on Wednesday in Sanaa, called for continued mobilization to counter war and blockade, reaffirming support for the Sanaa leadership’s decisions regarding the strategy of “blockade-for-blockade, and escalation-for-escalation.”

The conference statement urged the Saudi regime and the nations of the region to end the military operations and blockade on Yemen as the sole path to achieving peace, emphasizing that joining any coalition against the country is considered an act of aggression that warrants confrontation.

Furthermore, the scholars reiterated their rejection of the US and foreign presence in the region, calling for the removal of foreign bases and declaring them legitimate targets. They stated that allowing Islamic territories to be used as launchpads for any military action constitutes participation in aggression and alignment with hostile forces.
