YGC assures adequate Gas supplies, calls on citizens to ignore rumors

SANAA, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The Yemen Gas Company (YGC) on Monday urged the public in the Capital Municipality and several governorates not to be swayed by rumors, emphasizing that there are no grounds for panic buying or fears of a fabricated supply shortage.

In a statement, YGC said it has secured substantial cooking gas reserves, emphasizing that existing stockpiles are more than adequate to meet the continued requirements of households, businesses, and critical service sectors.

To prevent market manipulation, YGC urged citizens to report any violations, including price gouging and unauthorized price hikes.

The company said complaints can be submitted through its toll-free hotline (8000076) or the operations room at (01-533303), affirming that legal measures will be taken against violators.
