Five Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike on apartment in Gaza City

GAZA, July 21 (YPA) – At least Five Palestinians were killed at dawn on Tuesday after an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential apartment in Gaza City, according to medical sources in the Gaza Strip.

The sources said a woman, her young son, and her three daughters were killed when the strike hit a home on al-Thalathini Street, south of Gaza City, in the early hours of the morning.

In the same context, Gaza’s Civil Defense said its firefighting teams, with support from Gaza Municipality crews, managed to contain a large fire that broke out at a residential home, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses.

Meanwhile, local sources reported an explosion followed by sustained gunfire from Israeli military vehicles in eastern Gaza City, coinciding with an Israeli military advance into areas southeast of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood.

According to the sources, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis as artillery strikes targeted the area, with heavy tank fire also reported in eastern Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah.
