SANAA, Aug. 8 (YPA) – A Spanish Euro-fighter aircraft accidentally fired on Tuesday a rocket into Estonia during a routine training mission, Spanish Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
“The Spanish-based Euro-fighter aircraft stationed in Lithuania fired the missile that did not cause damage,” the statement said.
The incident took place in the southwestern region of Estonia afternoon, and an air-to-air missile did not hit any aircraft, the Defense Ministry said.
The statement pointed out that two Spanish fighter, Euro-fighter, and two French, Mirage 2000, participated in the exercises.
The aircrafts returned after training to an air base in Siauliai in northern Lithuania.
