Netanyahu escalates against Erdoğan: His statements are “extremely serious” and we will present them to Trump
OCUUPIED AL-QUDS, June 30 (YPA) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu escalated his rhetoric against Turkey, asserting that Tel Aviv views Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s recent statements with “utmost seriousness.”
Following a meeting of the Security Cabinet, Netanyahu stated that Ankara’s political discourse is undergoing rigorous Israeli evaluation, indicating that he will present these statements directly to US President Donald Trump and his administration as part of consultations on the situation.
Netanyahu’s remarks came in response to Erdoğan’s statement that those responsible for “genocide against Palestinian children will not escape punishment and will be held accountable,” referring to the leaders of the occupation.
Erdoğan’s positions sparked widespread anger in Israel, marking a new chapter in the tension between Ankara and Tel Aviv against the backdrop of the ongoing aggression against Gaza and the exchange of sharp criticisms.
