TEHRAN, June 22 (YPA) – The representative of the Supreme Leader in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Haji Sadeghi, said on Monday that while Iranians place confidence in their negotiating team, they have no trust in the United States or the enemies of Iran.
He stressed that Iran entered the negotiations from a position of strength, asserting that the Islamic Republic would safeguard the rights and interests of its people through diplomacy, but would not compromise on the principles and objectives of the revolution.
“If Iran’s rights are not secured through negotiations, the country will pursue them through other means,” Sadeghi said. “The Iranian people will not abandon the core values and foundations of the Islamic Republic.”
He also argued that many countries have come to recognize the risks of relying on the United States, while describing the Islamic Republic as a model for nations seeking independence and resistance to foreign pressure.
