Maariv: “Memorandum of understanding makes Iran the strongest power in the region, and we are left alone in this battle”

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 20 (YPA) – The Israeli newspaper Maariv confirmed that Israel has lost its status as the strongest regional power, and that the balance of power in the Middle East has shifted in favor of Iran after the recent American-Iranian memorandum.

It pointed to the failure of Netanyahu’s bet on toppling the Iranian regime, which cost Israel the gains of the war.

It also noted to Iran’s success in disrupting the Strait of Hormuz despite the American inability to reopen it.

The newspaper warned against Netanyahu’s attempt to ignite the situation in Lebanon to derail the negotiations, which could increase the army’s losses and insecurity in the north, and push Washington to impose a complete Israeli withdrawal without any concessions.

Maariv concluded that the failure of this war makes any future US confrontation with Iran unlikely, concluding: “We are left alone in this fight.”
