Al-Mashat salutes Iran’s strategic victory against US-Israeli aggression

SAMAA, June 17 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, send of cables of congratulations to the Yemeni people, the armed and security forces and services, and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH.

In a statement, Al-Mashat also congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership and people, on a major victory in confronting the aggression launched by the United States and Israeli entity.

He praised the great stance made by the Iranian armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in presenting an inspiring example of resilience, steadfastness, and military capability, for defending the oppressed and confronting aggression.

Al-Mashat said the outcome of the aggression would benefit not only Iran but also the peoples of the region by contributing to greater security and stability and countering the American and Israeli hegemonic projects.

He further commended Iran’s leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, for their management of the confrontation and what he called a decisive response against the interests and military bases of the attackers, which he said helped impose a halt to the aggression and thwart its objectives.

According to Al-Mashat, the conflict demonstrated that determined nations can defeat attempts at domination regardless of the military, political, and media power of their adversaries, while also proving the failure of efforts to force Iran to abandon its legitimate rights.

He argued that the confrontation marked the end of an era in which attacks could be carried out without consequences, asserting that the resolve and sacrifices of free peoples can establish new deterrence equations capable of protecting national sovereignty and rights.

Al-Mashat also said Iran’s commitment to what he termed the “unity of fronts” contributed to securing a halt to Israeli aggression in Lebanon, arguing that Israeli entity responds only to force and that policies of submission encourage further aggression.

At the same time, he cautioned that the retreat of the United States and Israeli occupation from some of their objectives does not mean they have abandoned their ambitions, stressing the need for continued vigilance, unity, and efforts to strengthen sources of power and preserve recent gains.

He concluded by saying that the developments create an opportunity for greater regional cooperation and solidarity, calling on governments across the region to seize the moment to rebuild trust, strengthen ties, and work toward development, security, and stability based on mutual respect and shared interests.
