TEHRAN, June 17 (YPA) – A purported text that Bloomberg published and presented as the draft of a U.S.-Iran understanding is inaccurate, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency said on Wednesday.
Citing a source close to the Iranian negotiating team, the agency said that the text published by Bloomberg as the full version of the Iran-U.S. understanding (the Islamabad Understanding) is inaccurate and contains numerous errors.
The it noted that the understanding consists of 14 articles, as previously announced, and that the issues covered by these provisions have been discussed repeatedly in the media. However, the agency said Bloomberg’s account of the details of each article contains significant omissions and inaccuracies.
“As an example, the first article and the article related to the Strait of Hormuz, as presented in Bloomberg’s report, are clearly inaccurate and omit several key and decisive terms,” it said.
The agency added that, under an agreement between the two sides, the full text of the understanding will not be made public after its signing on Friday.
