Yemen FM condemns Israeli aggression on Beirut, warns of regional escalation
SANAA, June 14 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the repeated Israeli aggression on Beirut poses a real threat to security and stability in the region and the world, and seeks to perpetuate instability.
In a statement issued by the ministry, it said that while the enemy speaks about signing a memorandum of understanding covering all fronts, including Lebanon, it simultaneously targeted the Lebanese capital Beirut in an attempt to impose a “policy of permissiveness,” similar to the approach it adopted in Gaza after the ceasefire agreement.
The statement added that this reflects the criminal entity’s clear and overt methodology of role-switching and escalation.
The ministry emphasized that the Axis of Resistance will not allow this criminal equation to pass, regardless of challenges or developments, stressing that war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu cannot act without American approval.
It further noted that recent Israeli aggressive escalation is not limited to Lebanon, but also extends to Gaza, the West Bank, and Syria, revealing the entity’s hostile and criminal orientation.
The statement added that the international community’s failure to take firm measures, and its reliance on statements of condemnation alone, encourages Israeli occupation to continue its aggression, particularly in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
The ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s support for the Lebanese resistance in confronting the brutal Israeli aggression by all available means.
