2 citizens killed in Israeli airstrike at orchard in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, June 14 (YPA) – Two people were killed on Sunday evening in an Israeli drone strike that targeted an orchard in the town of Al-Housh in southern Lebanon, in a new violation of the ceasefire understandings.

The National News Agency reported that the drone targeted the orchard, and two martyrs were killed, and they were transported by Al-Risala ambulance teams to a hospital in the area.

The Israeli army also set fire to houses in the town of Qantara in Marjeyoun, and its drones launched raids on the outskirts of Ghassaniyeh, Tibnin, and Majdal in the Tyre district.

The occupation continues to escalate its aggression against Lebanon since March 2, targeting towns, cities, and civilian infrastructure, causing thousands of martyrs and wounded, and the displacement of about 1.5 million Lebanese.

Despite the temporary ceasefire agreement entering into force in mid-April, the Israeli army continues to commit daily violations of the agreement.
