TEHRAN, June 12 (YPA) – Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that oil and gas exports must remain accessible to all countries, warning that if Iran’s exports are threatened, no one should expect unrestricted access.
In a statement, he accused the United States of sending contradictory signals by calling for dialogue while simultaneously engaging in actions that, in his view, undermine regional stability.
According to Abdollahi, these policies have increased risks to international trade, the global economy, and strategic waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz.
Abdollahi further argued that U.S. leaders have misjudged Iran, its people, and its military capabilities, describing repeated American statements as misleading and disconnected from realities on the ground.
He also said that media campaigns and what he characterized as propaganda efforts cannot offset what he described as repeated U.S. setbacks and attempts to escalate tensions with Iran.
Warning against further military action, the Iranian commander added that any renewed U.S. attack on Iran would provoke a stronger response and could lead to a broader expansion of conflict and insecurity across the region.
Referring to recent U.S. threats against Iran’s energy infrastructure, he reiterated that the export of oil and gas must either remain available to all parties or be unavailable to all.
