Israeli ceasefire violations continue in Gaza: 10 killed in 24 hours

GAZA, June 07 (YPA) –The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement on its 241st day across various areas of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media sources reported.

The reported Israeli violations over the past 24 hours resulted in the deaths of ten Palestinians and injuries to several others throughout the Strip.

Eight people were killed and 15 others injured on Saturday evening after Israeli aircraft struck a tent near the Al-Rimal Boys’ School west of Gaza City.

The victims were identified as: Naeem Abdel Aziz Al-Sarsawi, Mohammed Atiya Abu Afash, Abdullah Riyad Qaddoum and his daughter Maryam Abdullah Qaddoum, Susan Al-Harazin Qaddoum, Mirvat Al-Harazin Qaddoum, Farhat Zuhair Harara, and Ahmed Saad Abu Faiz, who later died from his wounds.

Mehran Rizq Falfal (37) was killed by Israeli sniper fire near Al-Dawla Junction on Salah al-Din Street in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The previous night, Israeli aircraft targeted a house belonging to the Abu Ashaiba family, destroying it and causing severe damage to a nearby house belonging to the Al-Bashiti family near the UNRWA clinic in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

The bombing of a house belonging to the Zaarab family west of Khan Younis caused widespread destruction in the area, with significant damage to nearby homes and tents in a location crowded with displaced families who had sought refuge there from previous bombardments.

A total of five fatalities and 49 injuries were received at hospitals across the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours.

According to the report, since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, the total number of fatalities has reached 951, with 2,984 injuries recorded. In addition, 782 bodies have reportedly been recovered from under the rubble.

The report further states that since the beginning of the Israeli military campaign on October 7, 2023, the total death toll has reached 72,961, while the number of injured has risen to 173,092.
