OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 07 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces confirmed on Sunday that four reserve soldiers were injured during a Hezbollah explosive drone strike in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said the four soldiers were injured in the strike but did not disclose the severity of their wounds or the exact location of the attack.
The announcement came hours after the occupation army announced on Saturday the death of a captain from its elite Egoz unit, who succumbed to severe wounds sustained during fighting in southern Lebanon on Thursday.
Israeli media also reported that four Israeli soldiers were wounded to varying degrees on Saturday during fighting in southern Lebanon.
The reports follow the death of a soldier from the Givati Brigade on Friday, while the Israeli military acknowledged that two additional soldiers were killed over the weekend.
The Egoz unit is considered one of the Israeli occupation military’s elite special forces formations, specializing in reconnaissance, ambush operations, infiltration missions, and combat in difficult terrain. The unit has historically been associated with operations of aggression in southern Lebanon during the Israeli occupation of the area.
The developments come as the Islamic Resistance continues operations targeting Israeli occupation forces in response to ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement reached on April 17.
