BEIRUT, May 15 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Ministry of Health announced on Friday that 37 people were injured in Israeli occupation airstrikes targeting several areas in southern Lebanon’s Tyre province, amid continued violations of the temporary ceasefire understandings.
According to a ministry statement carried by Lebanon’s National News Agency, 10 people, including two children, three women, and six medical staff members from Hiram Hospital, were injured in strikes on the Jal Al-Bahr area near the hospital.
The ministry added that 16 others, including a child, six women, and a Canadian national, were wounded in the Al-Mashouk area, while seven people, including a child, were injured in the Housing area and four others in Al-Hawsh.
The escalation comes as the occupation’s strikes on southern Lebanon continue despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect in mid-April, with Lebanese authorities reporting repeated violations targeting towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure.
